The West Australian Car Club (Inc.) was established in 1933. The club runs three of the special stage rallies in Western Australia which make up:
- Western Australian State Rally Championship
- Western Australian 2WD Championship
- Clubman Masters, and
- Clubman Cup Series
Western Australia's headline rally event is Make Smoking History Forest Rally which in 2014 celebrated 30 years as Western Australia's round of the Australian Rally Championship. The celebration also marked 20 years with naming rights sponsorship from Healthway under the Respect Yourself and QUIT brands. In 2017 the event transitioned to Healthway's 'Make Smoking History' brand.
In addition to the three special stage rallies the West Australian Car Club (Inc.) runs:
- 5 Autocross events on Wednesday evenings over the summer months at WA’s prestigious motorsport venue, Perth Motorplex
The West Australian Car Club (Inc.) is in a great position to be able to support the promotion of motorsport and specifically rallying events and has invested in the sport to ensure a healthy rally calendar and strong entry lists for each event. Some of the investments include:
- Weighing scales used by vehicle scrutiny teams
- Two event trailers used to transport and distribute and install stage signage
- A share in the results van arranged by RallyWA (the marketing name for the Western Australian State Rally Panel of CAMS)
- Assisted in the funding of the Timing Gear for rallies
